Children’s hair should be checked daily for head lice and treated, if necessary. Information on how this should be done is widely available. If head lice are found, please let the school office know.
If a child needs to have a prescription medicine administered during the school day, written authorisation must be given. Medicine must be labelled and accompanied by clear written instructions. It is the responsibility of the parents to collect medicines at the end of the school day. Medicine can only be given at lunchtime.
Any child with asthma should have his/her blue inhaler at school in the classroom with a spare left in the office, clearly labelled with name and dosage details. If your child has to have his/her medication with him/her at all times, the class teacher needs to be aware of this arrangement.
